About The Massage Place

The first physical
location for THE Massage Place was opened in September
2002 by Kelli Rose, LMT after being licensed in Florida
since 1998. It began as a simple massage practice with
Kelli’s vision of giving the best in massage to those
who visited the tropical vacation environment. She
wanted to make sure her clients were comfortable and
created a warm and inviting environment in her original,
small office space.
After only a year, the evolution into a complete
wellness center began. In October 2003,
Dani Skrzypek, AP, MSW joined THE Massage Place (TMP)
to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine and
acupuncture. Soon after, TMP hosted within its office:
1) classes by local astrologer
Sarah Lyons, personal trainer Greg LeBlanc and
multiple massage therapists working within the facility
to give Kelli’s clients the BEST in massage and
alternative health care.
In September 2004, TMP moved to larger accommodations
and added several classes and finally Esthetician Milona
Dimitrijevic and Nutritionist Kara Gott. With so many
offerings, Kelli found herself doing networking,
marketing and managing and less and less massage
therapy. After much consideration, she decided to get
back to basics where she could work with her clients
personally again. Many of the practitioners who have
passed through TMP are still in touch with Kelli and she
still refers business to them regularly in their new
locations.
Kelli now operates out of
Looks & Company – “The Salon”
doing office massage therapy and parties in the salon.
She can often provide personnel to do parties at your
home as well. The majority of her time is spent there,
although she does work with local companies from
Bradenton to Clearwater doing corporate chair massage
and special events, as well as monthly chair massages
for companies as staff benefits.
About Kelli
My mission is to educate people that
wellness is the key to maintaining good health.
However, the environment is one of relaxation
and stress-free bliss, where my clients can
feel like they've stepped away from their
everyday lives. By utilizing massage therapy
modalities such as Myofascial Release,
Neuromuscular modalities and other alternatives
such as CranioSacral Therapy, a well-rounded
experience awaits each of my clients.
Kelli is the owner of THE
Massage Place, which provides massage therapy services
for individuals, companies and events utilizing multiple
massage therapists around the St. Petersburg area as
well as in-home spa parties. Kelli has moved her
practice to Looks & Company – The Salon in South
Pasadena where she utilizes both relaxation and
therapeutic techniques.
After 10 years in the office administration/marketing
environment in Colorado and Ohio, Kelli decided on a
career in the health field and moved to Florida to
attend massage school. Upon obtaining her Florida
massage license and national certification, she opened
Muscle Menders in Tampa, FL in 1999. She began with
in-home massages and eventually co-located with a
chiropractor in north St. Petersburg, where she and a
staff of 3 practiced neuromuscular and rehabilitative
massage therapy on injured clients. Kelli also provided
chair massage for 5 years for the annual Corporate
SportsFest on Clearwater Beach, held each spring. After
several car accidents sidelined her, she closed Muscle
Menders, not knowing whether she would be able to
practice again. With help from chiropractic, massage,
and other natural modalities, she was good as new –
confirming her commitment to massage therapy. In 2001,
she opened THE Massage Place and began doing relaxation
massage, LypossageTM and CranioSacral therapy.
She has served on the Advisory Board of The Humanities
Center Allied School of Massage and the Executive Board
of the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce. She has
participated in networking groups such as NPI, BNI, and
PLN to name a few. She is a member of the Abilities
Center, and Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.
Kelli has published articles in the Paradise News,
Families on-the-Go, and other local media on health
related items. She is active in the community, donating
her time and skills to several organizations such as the
Brookwood Center for girls and Relay for Life for the
American Cancer Society.
One of Kelli’s most important goals in doing massage is
to educate her clients on WHY they need to practice
preventative health care rather than waiting until
something is wrong. She loves her craft and the fact
that she is able to help people and contribute to their
well being. “I always wanted to make a difference … by
doing massage, I do that every day in my clients’
lives.”
